Alan Raich, Professor of Scottish Literature at Glasgow University wrote a fascinating essay on the importance of poetry in society in THE NATIONAL newspaper, using the opportunity to promote this event.

WATERSTONES, AYR hosted this, their first ever live poetry event featuring local poets - two from Alloway, Alan Riach and Ian Robertson, and two from Prestwick, myself and Simon Lamb.
